Please pray for a church family that is struggling both medically and financially. Pray for physical healing and some answers revealed to them for their financial hardship.

Just a note to let you know that Michele Corbett passed away yesterday. She received a quilt from Calvary and the note below is for all who participated. This name was given to me from a friend at Quilting Class at San Lorenzo Adult School. Prayer is now requested for the family.

Greetings,
I tested the three students today and we will be accepting them...one new 2nd grade boy, a new boy and a girl for the 4th grade. All of the students are nice children and they will join our school family on Monday! Also, I have a tour tomorrow for a new family with 3 kids!!! They are currently in Kdg, 1, & 4...I think! I maybe "off" a grade level, but this is great...we need to "fatten up" our lower grades! God is really blessing us with some strong possible leads. Thank you for all of your prayers!

Prayers of healing for Bill and Trudy's good friend Lloyd Sawyer who just found out that he has a large mass on his pancreas. He will be having a biopsy on Monday. He has been admitted to Kaiser, Hayward and not allowed any visitors.

Dear friends,
Here are a few things for us to pray about:
Praise the Lord...I have a school tour tomorrow. This family has been here about 1 1/2 weeks ago and is coming again to look at our 4th grade. They have been home schooling and are interested in a school for this year. Pray for the tour!
Prayers for the e-waste event to be successful as these funds go into the student scholarship fund.
Pray for the Open House on Feb. 4th to be well attended.
Thanksgiving and praise...we received the quarterly check today from the S.H.A.R.E.S. program...it nearly doubled for last quarter!!! The total was $1,407.57. Let's thank God for this program and pray that everyone continues to use their cards.
It is indeed a privilege to join in prayer with all of you!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Please continue to pray for healing and patience for my friends, Casey & Joan, who were recently in a car accident. Casey is now home from the hospital, but has a long recovery ahead of him. Doctors are not sure if he will have sight in one of his eyes. His dentures were found and praise the Lord...he can get them in his mouth. However, still too much swelling to get his glasses on. The bones in his face will need to heal. Joan has made little to no progress and remains hospitalized. She has had two major surgeries on her back, is in an induced coma, and on a ventilator. Casey saw her for the first time and was taken back and very sad by what he saw. If she makes it through this, she will have a long recovery in rehab. He is feeling a great amount of guilt because he was driving when the accident happened. Pray for peace for him and his family. Thank you!

Prayers of healing for Jan Curler's daughter, Lyn. She has rheumatoid arthritis and just found out that her blood pressure is very high. Doctor is putting her on meds to control it. She just applied for SS and disability and is waiting to find out the outcome.

Saturday night, one of my most cherished friends, Jonathan Cleveland, went to bed and did not wake up Sunday morning. He was 46 years old. He had survived two kidney transplants and years of dialysis over the past 10+ years but apparently his heart was worn out. Jonathan was a DCE/Deacon at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville, Nevada. He had only been there since March. Prior to being called to Nevada, Jonathan was DCE at Trinity Lutheran Church in Portland, Oregon for close to 15 years. Jon loved serving the Lord and did so with gusto! He was a great example of how God wants His people to treat each other. Please pray for Jonathan's family, especially his three daughters: Myeshia, Rochelle, and Ebony. Also pray for safe travel for those travelling to attend his services in Gardnerville tomorrow and at Concordia University in Portland on January 30. Thank you,

A prayer of thanksgiving for Tom Carmichael, Carmen Caspersen's cousin. The Vp shunt surgery this morning was successful and the doctors were happy. This is encouraging news for his family and all of us. I will keep the prayer chain updated when I receive more news.

My granddaughter, Jenni, may have torn her meniscus (knee problem). She is scheduled for an MRI tonight. Jenni is a freshman in High School and very involved in soccer. In spite of not being able to play, she has a very positive attitude. Please pray for wisdom for the doctor and for healing.

My brother-in-law, Bernie Haug, On Tuesday he will get a port and stomach tube so he can start the chemo and radiation. His Pet Scan showed stage 4 cancer of the larynx and cancer in the lymph nodes and a small spot on the lungs. Please pray that the chemo and radiation will work and for a full recovery. Please include my sister as she will be nursing him through this difficult period.

An update on my cousin Tom Carmichael. Tom was transferred from Lake Havasu City, Arizona to a hopsital in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday. After some tests it was decided to do a VP shunt surgery Friday morning to relieve pressure on his brain. They have not been able to control the infection as they do not know where it is. Pray that the white cell count is low enough to do the surgery. Pray that all goes well. Thank you.

I'd like to add my mom to the prayer list again. Her diabetes is causing more problems. Her blood sugar has been taking major dives into dangerously low levels and she basically blacks-out. My family has had to call the paramedics three times in the past month. The last time was yesterday. Today she had another major drop but my dad was able to get her to drink enough sugary drinks to get her level back up a bit. This really takes a toll on her body. This month is three years since she had her leg amputated. Diabetes is a horrible disease that she has struggled with for over 35 years.
